Senior FLYP (Fellowship of Lutheran Young
People) is our high school youth ministry. A variety of activities
and special events provide great opportunities for faith, fun, service,
and travel.

Everyone in grades
9-12 is welcome to
participate in Sr. FLYP's
activities. We have a calendar of
events planned to provide fun and
fellowship while increasing our
knowledge and love of the Lord and
serving others in our community.
Our next meeting
is Sunday, February 5th at 6:30 PM
in the Youth Room.

Fundraising continues
for the ELC A Youth
Gathering
in New Orleans in
summer, 2012. Watch for
updates! An open letter to the
congregation inviting everyone to
participate in helping us prepare
for the Gathering was sent with the
March Messenger.

Pancake & Sausage Breakfasts
have begun!
There will be no charge for
the breakfasts, which will be on
Sunday mornings in the Fellowship
Hall; free-will donations will be
accepted to help with costs for our
trip to NOLA. We'll cook
and serve breakfast after each
service on the third Sunday of each
month from now through June.
Our first breakfast made us over
$400 towards our trip expenses!
Thanks to all who helped, and all
who ate and donated. Our
next breakfast is
scheduled for February 19th.

help!
Envelope Board--The
mural painted by 2009 Gathering
participants is in the narthex
covered with envelopes, each listing
a budget-friendly dollar amount ($5
through $100). If each envelope is filled
with the specified amount and
returned, we will raise over $11,000
towards this trip (which is
estimated to cost about $1360 per
attendee). So far we've raised
nearly
$4,000! Please encourage your
family and friends to participate.

blessing!
